Thanks to its smart design this casserole works like a mini oven: perfect for making delicious dishes packed with flavour.

 

50% lighter with a cast aluminium body

Our Featherweights collection is the perfect alternative to your traditional cast iron casserole. Because they are made of cast aluminium, Featherweights casseroles are up to 50% lighter and heat up 3 times faster. So instead of losing time preheating your casserole, you can get cooking straight away. This collection can be used on all types of hob, including induction.

The inside is coated with a Thermolon Infinity Professional healthy ceramic non-stick layer, reinforced with diamond. This way, food doesn’t get stuck to the pot and your dish doesn’t bake on, even if you leave it simmering for hours. Extra bonus: after cooking, you can clean your casserole with one quick wipe. Its even dishwasher safe.

An oven on the stove

GreenPan Featherweights are not only extremely easy to use, the design is also a great example of innovative technology. The lid has a special pattern on the inside, which captures condensed moisture during the cooking process and returns it to the food. This keeps all the ingredients succulent.

Thanks to their smart design, the Featherweights casseroles work like a mini oven on the stove. However, if you prefer to use your Featherweights casserole in the oven thats possible too (up to 250C). In short, all the advantages of a classic cast iron casserole in a new and user-friendly design.

Care&Use

Dos:

• Preheat your pan at low to medium heat setting (ceramic non-stick =super quick heating)
• Add a small amount of oil or butter when preheating
• We recommend using silicone and wood utensils for your coating to last longer
• Use pan protectors to store your cookware, that way you wont damage the non-stick coating
• Clean your cookware after each use, leftover fats can carbonize fast
• In case of a brownish layer (carbonization) gently scrub with a melamine sponge and some plain water

 

Donts:

• Avoid overheating to prevent food or oil from burning and carbonization
• Avoid preheating at high temperatures
• Never let oil/butter smoke or burn
• Avoid Spray oils, always use oil or butter than can withstand high heat (e.g. coconut oil, peanut oil, vegetable oil)
• Non-stick cooking sprays should never be used, these sprays contain propellant (typically Lecithin) that causes build-up and can damage the non-stick coating
• Avoid Virgin olive oil as this carbonizes very quickly
• Avoid thermal shocks, allow cookware to cool completely before washing
